This hands-on intensive introduces students to the creative use of new media technologies, as they relate to art and interactive design.
We will cover the basics of electronic circuit design and basic Arduino programming, as well as programming for video and sound, LED lights, motor control, and any combination thereof.
The course will be led by Joshua Penrose, who has previously taught courses in fine art at The Ohio State University and CCAD, and leads an active studio practice engaged in fine art and interactive design.
This will be a virtual, online experience, limited to 5 students ages 16 through adult. Students will work over zoom in their own home.
We will meet every Saturday from Noon - 3pm, October 17 thru November 21, 2020
Students will require their own laptop. All other course materials will be supplied in advance by the instructor.
